Alexander VoltaAlexander Volta born to Como, February 17 th 1745 ; after his father's death in 1752 it goes to live with his mother from his uncle canonical Don Alexander.
For formation scholastic Alexander Volta is addressed to the humanistic studies in the school of the Jesuits; in 1861, to avoid that he was induced to undertake the career ecclesiastical the old uncle he prepared the transfer of it near the seminar of S.Caterina of Como, the young autodidactic Alexander he cultivates the passion for the physics and for the philosophers natural; abandons the juridical and religious studies.

Then have eighteen is already in letter correspondence with Don Beccaria, with Nollet, with Franklin in America, with Priestley and other famous physicists of that time; the first meaningful work from the point of view scientific Time the public one in 1769.

In October of 1774 is named 'Regent of the schools of Como', in the following year it gets the desk of experimental physics in the Regal Grammar school of Como.
In 1777 Time it undertakes a long trip that will bring him to meet the Bernoullis, family of physicists to Basilea, De Sausser to Geneva and Voltaire to Fernet.
